Memorial Day
Yesterday I joined many locals in Washington state, Marching with the group for roughly 8 miles of the 25 mile March for Palestine in Seattle, Wa.
While my platform is not solely discussing the Liberation of Palestine, I recognize that what is happening to Palestinians is only allowable because the system that exists that puts a dollar value on every life. There are no words that I can say that will erase that type of collective dehumanization. There is no other call to action I can have today than to remember one of my core beliefs.
From my Danish heritage I think of two ideas: Kærlighed and Elsker. Kærlighed is a non romantic and non personal love that you have for everyone. Elsker is interpersonal love, typically with romantic relationships. I want everyone to remember there is no Elsker without Kærlighed and to always put Kærlighed first.

But as the “Ultra Maga Trump Supporters” are saying, I am coming to dismantle the systems of oppression at the source, and create an America that holds her promises and ensures all rights are protected including the right to happiness.
